Before leaving the RMBS my wife Margaret decided to call for kneelers to be made for use in the Barracks church in Deal. The project was very successful and lots were produced. On the transfer of RMSM to Portsmouth in 1996 arrangements were made for the kneelers to be gifted to St Anne’s church in Portsmouth Dockyard along with the carved memorial stone with names of those killed in the 1989 IRA bombing which has been installed as part of the historic fabric of the church. The attached communion rail pictures, sent to me today by the wife of a former Royal Yacht officer with whom I served, were taken on Sunday last at St Anne’s. A delight to see as I am sure you will agree. Still immaculate after nearly forty years. With renewed kindest regards. Graham
