Hello Richard I thought it was time I updated my sickbay.  In April this year I had another toe off which the surgeon didn't think would solve the problem. The first week of June he said he would like to take all toes off on my left foot. I just said if you can get it to heal take off what you want.  Anyway last week I had the front half of my foot removed. We will have to see how it goes. All you diabetics out there take good care of your feet. The only thing certain I will still get socks for Xmas. Cheers Pete

Hi Richard,

I thought it was time to up date my sick bay history. I have had a pretty traumatic year but it seems to be sorting itself. In June I had a small red spot on my foot which soon developed into an ulcer. Despite all treatment throughout the summer I was admitted to hospital for an operation on my leg. Still with the ulcer I was admitted first week in Sept when the surgeon removed my little toe and the side of my foot. Unfortunately during the op I had a heart attack which has left me with weak heart muscles.

Then ten days ago I was admitted to to remove an infected bone down the side of my foot and at last the foot seems to be healing. All this caused by being diabetic. Still I am still the right side of the grass and hope to leave the sick bay early in the new year. Meanwhile Merry Xmas and a healthy new year to everyone.

Cheers Pete.
