***************************************

I`m doing fine. I`ve finished my post-op 3 months of PT stuff twice a week in Canterbury and do my final interview with the physio team at Canterbury Hospital on Wednesday. So good as new now and thank you for your concern and interest.

*******************************************

I`m coming on very well with twice a week physio classes to attend as part of the post-op followup. I see my surgeon in London on 8 Feb and hope she will be pleased with my progress and give clearance for a resumption of flying and holidays - we need some sun; it has been a cold winter here and still is..... all the best Terry

Dear Richard,

Through you can I please thank the innunmerable old ships who have sent me wishes for recovery in my recent aortic valve replacement job in St George`s Hospital Tooting. I went in on Sunday 25 October and came home on Saturday 31 Oct. I can`t say I remember anything of the first three days, and I am black and blue all over the front of my chest. Other than that I am making a steady recovery, with nothing allowed for at least six weeks; so a quiet loaf in the sickbay seems a good idea.

I`ve already phoned a number of chums; viz. Jim Mason, Jock Brown, Dennis Brown, and local East Kenters are popping by with helping hands etc. for shopping in Canterbury, such as Ginge Wells. Of course, just as I went in my computer went down, so I hope this week to get a new computer installed so I can resume longer-distance stuff to Tom Lambert & Maxie Beare. Many thanks also from Lucia for the the support one gets at the time one needs it- typical RMB spirit.

Best wishes

***********************************************

I have at last managed to contact Terry Freestone and have just had a telephone conversation with him. His op was last Monday and they let him out on Saturday.
He tells me that he doesn’t remember anything until Thursday.

He was a bit confused occasionally; I think the anaesthetic is still in his blood.
He had just returned from a visit to his doctor.

He wishes to pass on his thanks to all those that have sent cards.

Yours aye!

Stephen Misson

**************************************************************

Don’t worry, he’s still with us! I know that every time you get an email from me with a person’s name in the subject line that he has passed on but this is not the case this time.

However I am sure that you would like to know that Terry Freestone has, today (Sunday 25 October), gone into the Tooting Beck hospital, London to have an aortic valve inserted into his heart.

I am sure that you will wish him well and a speedy recovery.

I know that his computer has also gone sick so any messages you may wish to send will have to be by telephone 01227 831745 or by snail mail (for cards) to:
Long Meadow, Railway Hill, Barham, Canterbury, Kent CT4 6PZ.
