13. Home Fleet Band Based in HMS Pembroke - Deployed as 'Ships Company' on HMS Devonshire County Class Destroyer for trip to America. We were all on various mess decks with 'Jolly Jack' and worked 'part ship' in the forenoon at sea! Although I lived on the 'Sparkies Mess' I was 'Chippies Mate'!
