G'day Rich.
Kath found this and thought you may know some of the band of HMS Centaur Xmas day 1963. This was the day after we had gone to the aid of the cruise ship Lakonia and the band had the unpleasant task of retrieving all the bodies - 90 in all. Sandy (Sanders) will remember, it was a ghastly day and one which for some reason you can't forget. We had just unloaded them all in Gib' for the identification etc.
Some of the names familiar to you will be John Ware, Richard Baker, Bert Nicholls. I'll send this on to Jay (O'Neill) as I had a lovely letter from him yesterday.
