I am an ex Army Bandsman (please don't stop reading yet), after leaving the 15th/19th The Kings Royal hussars in 1987, I joined the Ministry of Defence Police (MDP) only to find that they had a Military style Band. The Bandmaster of the MDP band is Mr Trevor Lewis ex RM who has since retired from the MDP. One of the co-founders of the MDP band was another ex RM musician, Mr John Tucker. We recently played at the Royal Navy Days at HM Naval Base, Devonport, and while we were there I managed to take a photograph of all the ex RM Musicians that we have in the MDP Band at the moment, I thought it might be of interest to some of your members.

They are from left to right -
Stuart Thorn - now Sgt at the MDP Training School
Cliff Meatheringham - retired Constable MDP
John Tucker - retired Sgt MDP
Peter Howse - retired Sgt MDP
Trevor Lewis - retired Constable MDP (Bandmaster)
Dennis Brown - retired (not MDP but helps the band out on occasions)
