Approximately 2 hours drive from the major airports of Malaga, Alicante and Murcia (now accessible via Manston airport!)

It is 1.5 hours to the coast (Almeria) and 1.5 hours from ski-ing in the Sierra Nevada.

This beautiful inland area is still only sparsely inhabited by Brits and offers a refreshing alternative to the 'kiss-me-quick' coastal resorts. We are surrounded by National Parks and it is quite common to spot Eagles, Kites and Buzzards soaring high above the town.

Being centrally located with excellent access to all major auto routes 'Casa Britannia' is also ideally located as a base should you be interested in looking for a property in Spain. In this area there are still some real 'bargains' to be had and the local Spanish speaking British Estate Agent is very thorough and totally trustworthy. The House and future plans.
Casa Britannia consists of two flats at the moment but we plan to develop a third within twelve months. A pool will hopefully be constructed in Spring 2005. There is a bar which will be developed for guests to use and may even open up again to the public in the future depending on licensing etc. With luck soon we will be offering for rent two self-catering apartments one sleeping 6-8 and the other 4-6.

Attractions
We hope to appeal to people who are interested in a number of options:
Serious Sunbathers - When the pool and bar are up and running it will be peaceful and HOT.
Walkers/Ramblers/Mountain Bikers - We are only minutes away from one of Spain's huge National Parks and on the 'Tour de Spain' cycle route.
Bird Watchers - The National Parks and surrounding areas are teeming with unusual birds and wildlife.
Skiers - The Sierra Nevada is only 90k away.
Over Wintering - For retired persons the Winters here are much easier to cope with.
