Hope you are well as we are. We had a recent visit down south to one
of my wife's relatives in Kent. They had come across the photo that
I am forwarding to you. The family have strong connections with the
Royal Marines in the past.
It seems to me that in the photo they have just marched into the main
South Barracks Gate up the drive towards the Officers Mess which would
be on their left out of picture. On the back of the photo the date 1915
is penciled in which bearing in mind how the people are dressed seems
about right. Thought this may be of interest to you and maybe other
ex.RMB's, although I do realize it is unlikely anyone of that era is
still around.
